Cedar Clad Courtyard

A project designed by Rachel Merrick of Elemental Designs.

The brief was to transform a fairly drab and uninviting space into a much warmer outside room which could be used as a extension of the open living space within the apartment.

The rendered walls were clad in cedar, and specially comissioned copper art placed to add interest. Wiring was run behind the cladding in order to illuminate the artwork

The planters were made specifically for the space, and I prepared and painted the galvanised metal stairs and handrail to match the colour.
